    Great Mechanical keyboard

The Redragon Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is an absolute gem for gamers and typists alike. From the moment I started using it, I was impressed by its premium feel—despite its surprisingly affordable price. The tactile feedback from the mechanical switches is incredibly satisfying, producing a crisp and precise click sound that I can’t get enough of. It strikes a perfect balance between performance and aesthetics, with customizable RGB lighting that adds a dynamic flair to my setup. What truly stands out is the build quality. The keyboard feels sturdy and durable, more like a high-end product than a budget-friendly option. The keycaps are well-crafted, and the response time is exceptional, making it perfect for intense gaming sessions or long hours of work. Overall, the Redragon keyboard delivers a fantastic experience that rivals far more expensive options. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

    Awesome Keyboard!

Bought this keyboard for my new gaming computer. This is the first mechanical keyboard I’ve had for gaming, so there was some getting used to. (My old gaming machine was an Alienware M15x, so the keys were considerably quieter, being a laptop.) Anyway, after using it for a few weeks, I can say I definitely love this keyboard. It’s very customizable, but I do feel the included documentation could have given some more detail on just HOW to customize it, as I actually did not know until I watched a video on youtube about the keyboard. (I won’t link the video, as it was cringeworthy to watch, to be honest.) Anyway, each key can be programmed to one of 7 colors, or “off”. The colors are quite vibrant, and despite “only” having 7 colors to choose from, it’s more than enough for my needs.Anyway, there are various modes that are controlled by pressing the FN key, and then INS, HOME, PG UP, DEL, END, or PG DN, brightness is controlled with FN and the Up/Down arrow keys, and the “Winlock” function (locking the Windows key) is controlled with FN + Windows Key. Also of note, the keys for the different modes do have numbers in boxes on them.Mode 1 (FN + INS) is a slow rotation through all the colors the keyboard can display (actually getting more than the 7 colors via mixing) and you can press FN + INS again to stop it on a particular color if you are interested in having that as your color scheme.Mode 2 (FN + HOME) is something I’ve come to refer to as the “disco floor” mode. It has various colors that flash from the center of the keyboard out, and pressing (FN + Home) more will pull up other “modes” with it rotating through various colors.Mode 3 (FN + PG UP) is a “wave” of color from one side of the keyboard to the other. It can be stopped on the currently shown color combination by pressing FN + PG UP again, and the direction can be changed by pressing FN + Left/Right Arrow keys.Mode 4 (FN + DEL) is a lot like mode 3, including the direction changes, but instead it’s a rainbow across the whole keyboard that goes in a wave. The colors are about 3/4 columns of keys each, and can also be stopped on the current pattern if the keys are pressed again.Mode 5 (FN + END) is the programmable mode. All keys are by default shown in white at the start, but if you press FN + END after going to this mode, the 3 “lock” lights will start flashing, and you can press each key individually to set the colors. After it’s set the way you like, press FN+END again, and it will save that as your setting.Mode 6 (FN + PG DN) is a really neat one. The whole keyboard goes black in this mode, but pressing a key will cause it to light up, then fade back to black. The default of this mode is white, but if you press FN + PG DN more, it will come up with alternate colors to light up as.Macro programming is done by pressing the “REC” key, then pressing the “G” key you want (G1 – G5) to set the macro to. The initial “REC” press will cause the “lock” lights to flash slowly, pressing the “G” key you want will cause them to flash faster… that’s recording mode. Press the keys you want as your macro, then press “REC” when you’re done.I don’t personally use the macros myself (yet) mostly because the macros I do use are part of the game I’ve tested with it most (World of Warcraft).A big plus to this keyboard for me are the multimedia keys. I tend to listen to my music collection while I’m playing WoW. I love the game’s music, but there’s only so many times you can hear the same songs before needing something a bit different. The keys are some of the few that are not lit on this keyboard (along with the macro keys) but they are easily accessible, and easy enough to identify by touch. (They don’t have any tactile indicators on them, but there are only 6, and I’ve remembered their placement easy enough.)The build quality of the board is fantastic. It feels very high-grade, and the keyboard tray itself is a thick metal plate (it seems to be a brushed aluminum, but I may be wrong). The wrist rest is detachable, and I haven’t really used it (though I did just set it up during this review just to see what I think of it. It’s pretty comfy.)Anyway, the keyboard is fantastic, and it seems to be constructed well enough to hold up for a good long time. It works great with Windows 10, as well.

Great keyboard at a great price.

Red Dragon has become my go-to for keyboards and mice. This keyboard has great feel and has good response. The RGB is bright, and has multiple light modes. The clicky-ness has a quality feel to it.At this point I own 3 keyboards and and 2 mice, and I do not regret my purchases.

Overall this keyboard was a great buy for the listed price. The brushed black steel gives it a very clean but sophisticated look. The weight of the keyboard coupled with the coated foot pads ensures that they board won’t be sliding around as you punch away at the keys – unlike some of the other plastic molded backlit keyboards I’ve owned. Key presses are medium in weight and are very responsive/tactile in feel – even after just about a year of very heavy (maybe even overzealous) use. Keys have a very crisp and distinct click/clack upon press and release. They keyboard backlighting was in-built (i.e. no additional software or drivers needed to configure) and easy to set up – offering 6 distinct modes of lighting (see below for details and how to adjust lighting). It is important to note that this keyboard only offers 7 distinct colors (plus no lighting) to choose from. You do not have the option to customize specific color variants, but it not unexpected considering there was no additional software required to install. The additional macro and media control buttons along the top work without issue and are rather convenient to have. The included wrist rest suites me just fine, although it is a little difficult to put on and take off – just make sure you take your time attaching/detaching it to avoid the risk of snapping the plastic. While this keyboard does not come with a keycap puller, they keys themselves are easy enough to take off by hand should you need to.PROS:- Easy set-up (plug and play)- Eloquent black brushed aluminum- Tactile and responsive key presses- Easy to adjust lighting- Sturdy and consistent in performance even after a year of heavy use- Easy to detach (and clean) hovering keys- Keys do not become super shiny by oil from hands- Detachable wrist restCONS:- Keyboard cord, while sturdy, is not nylon braided- Detachable wrist rest can be difficult to put on and take off- Backlight color choice limited to 7 colors (cannot specify unique color variants)TL;DR – A very well crafted, easy to set up, and easy to use mechanical keyboard that is an absolute steal for a price under 100.00 USD. Would recommend.LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS + DESCRIPTION (Video Included)Lighting modes are changed and further configured using the FN key plus any one of the INS, HOME, PGUP, DEL, END, or PGDN keys. Pressing the FN key plus any one of these buttons will change the lighting pattern. For Modes 1-4, pressing the same FN + mode key (i.e. INS, DEL, etc) will freeze the current color pattern on the keyboard. For Mode 5, pressing the same FN + mode key will lock in your color key selections. For Mode 6, pressing the same FN + mode key will change the fade color.Mode 1: FN key + INS keyThis mode offers a slow and gradual full keyboard shift between each of the 7 colors, taking approx. 5 seconds to shift from one color to another.Mode 2: FN key + HOME keyThis mode offers a random flickering of color across all keys at approx. 2 second intervals.Mode 3: FN key + PGUP keyThis mode offers a slow and gradual full color change across that keyboard that moves from left to right.Mode 4: FN key + DEL keyThis mode offers a faster rainbow of colors that moves across the keyboard left to right.Mode 5: FN key + END keyThis mode allows you to individually change the color of each key on your keyboard through repeated key presses.Mode 6: FN key + PGDN keyThis mode offers a key light-up upon press that fade to black (or “off”) after key release.

Worked wonderfully and both versions are nice and hefty!!!But make sure you know which one you are getting! The one that’s more expensive on this listing is the metal casing! The cheaper one is a plastic casing! While still nice and hefty will solid keys, it’s still plastic. So be wary!!!

The “aesthetics” friend plays way more games on their PC, so I’ll be able to tell heavy gamer use for the QWERTY one. While the “functional” friend will be using it for work, as they work from home, so I’ll tell more daily use for the LED one. 👍 I’ll ask more about the settings as well as time goes on, for now, they’re just happy with their new keyboards!

    Very satisfied.

Impressed for the price point. For the casual pc gamer that plays a couple times a week I don’t think you’d need anything better.

    Great keyboard

Great keyboard. I enjoy this brand quite a bit. Was super easy to install the drivers. I love that I can customize profiles to have different light settings. And this keyboard has quite a few different light settings, most I wouldn’t personally use for everyday but they are cool to play with. Easy functionality, no issues connecting to my computer and definitely worth the money.

    Great Quality For The Price!

I was using a Corsair k70. But the letter “I” and the ‘2’ key had key chatter and would double press. Which is unacceptable since I paid $80 for that keyboard. However this keyboard is just as good of not better for half the price. Needles to say I will never buy a Corsair keyboard again. When I can buy something of this quality for a reasonable price.
