We had problems with our power going out and our basement flooding due to the sump pump pit over following. We swapped out our old standard pump for the watch dog system. The system requires a battery, and this one is made to work perfectly with the pumps. It was easy to install and works great it has already paid for itself three times over in recent storms. Good get one and save yourself the stress of worrying if your basement will flood or not.

Convenience! No more monthly water checks/additions.
The virtue of this battery is that it replaces one that needed periodic (I did it monthly) maintenance to check the water levels in each cell and use distilled water to replace any that had evaporated. This is a sealed battery. The only questions are, “How will it perform in a power outage?” and “How long will it last?” We’ll have to wait and see on those.12/3/2022 It’s two years since I bought and installed this battery — it’s still working fine!

I have an older model Basement Watchdog Special (not the PLUS) version with a very early serial number. I couldn’t find any info if this battery would work with my specific model so I took a shot.
